Melanie Young: Operations Manager
Melanie (she/her) is the co‑founder of Plot Twist Talk Therapy and the steady presence behind the scenes who ensures the practice runs smoothly and intentionally. She brings a thoughtful blend of community health experience, organisational leadership, and client‑centred service delivery to the heart of the practice.
Melanie is the one shaping the systems, processes, and small details that help people feel supported from the very first moment they reach out. Her calm, organised approach means clients aren’t just another booking in the calendar. They’re known, remembered, and cared for. The mahi she does behind the scenes strengthens every part of the client journey, as Neil and Melanie aim to create a space where people feel held, welcomed, and supported at every step of their journey.
Alongside her operational leadership, Melanie is completing her training as a health coach, weaving together her professional background and her own wellbeing journey. She brings a steady, relational presence to her coaching work... meeting clients exactly where they are, checking in with warmth and curiosity, and helping them explore what’s working in their lives. Melanie has a natural ability to notice and celebrate the small wins that often go unseen. She supports people to reconnect with their naturally-occurring strengths and build sustainable habits that feel achievable and authentic.
Clients often describe Melanie as someone who brings clarity, calm, and care into every client interaction. Whether she’s walking alongside someone through a wellbeing goal or shaping the systems that hold the practice together, her mahi reflects a belief that people deserve to feel safe, understood, and supported as they navigate their own plot twists. Melanie’s presence (both behind the scenes and in her coaching work) helps create the kind of environment where people feel seen and where meaningful change can take root.
